Football to Host Food Drive During Saturday's Game Versus BC

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville football fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable food and hygiene products to Saturday's game versus Boston College for the Kroger Zero Hunger Food Drive to benefit the Commonwealth Credit Union Cardinal Cupboard.

Fans can bring canned goods, dried beans, rice, cereal, fruit cups and microwavable food to donation boxes that will be located around all entry gates (Gates 1-9) around Cardinal Stadium, the Alley, and to the Kroger Ultimate Tailgate in the Planet Fitness Purple Lot before the game to be entered to win Kroger Gift Cards.

Our Zero Hunger | Zero Waste social impact plan is our commitment to end hunger in our communities and eliminate waste across our company by 2025. We are so incredibly thankful for our partnership with the University of Louisville, and their willingness to join us to end hunger in our community," said Erin Grant, Kroger spokeswoman.

Through fundraising and food drives, the Commonwealth Credit Union Cardinal Cupboard's increases accessibility to food and health products to members of the Cardinal community to reduce their financial burden on local families.

The Commonwealth Credit Union Cardinal Cupboard is open to all members of the Cardinal community (students, staff, and faculty).
