Cardinals Excel in the Classroom

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville track and field and cross country teams turned in impressive results in the classroom in the 2020 fall semester. The women registered a 3.232 team GPA while the men posted a combined GPA of 3.050.

On the women's side, 40 of 52 Cardinals will be named to the Athletic Director's honor roll after earning a GPA of at 3.0 or better. Five student-athletes: Riley Burger, Claire Bushur, Brooke Weimer, Aliyah Welter and Zoe Yeast posted a 4.0 GPA and will be named Dean's Scholars while 19 earned Dean's List status with a mark of 3.5 or better. Additionally, 33 have earned Red & Black Scholar status with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or better.

Alexis Gibbons, Rashida Harris and Kassidy Manning completed their undergraduate degrees at the conclusion of the fall semester.

On the men's side, 25 student-athletes will be named to the Athletic Director's honor roll with a GPA of 3.0 or better with seven on the Dean's List with a GPA of 3.5 or better. Ethan Alyea and Clay Moss achieved a perfect mark of 4.0, earning Dean's Scholar status.

In addition, 14 student-athletes will be named Red & Black Scholars while carrying a cumulative GPA of 3.250 or better.

Moss earned his undergraduate degree in December 2020.
