
Louisville Women's Golf Recognized Among National APR Leaders for the 10th Consecutive Year

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville women's golf team is among five Cardinal athletic teams which rank among the nation's leaders within their sports in the most recent Academic Progress Rate (APR) data released by the NCAA on Tuesday.

UofL's women's golf, men's and women's basketball, women's cross country, and volleyball teams are among the top 10 percent in their respective sports in the latest multiyear APR, which measures academic eligibility, retention, and graduation for student-athletes.

The women's golf team has been one of the benchmark program for academics in the department, receiving recognition for the 10th consecutive year. The team has produced 19 semesters in a row with a GPA of 3.4 and eight with a 3.5 or higher.Â

Coached by Whitney Young, the Cardinals achieved a 2020 Spring GPA of 3.58 and saw two seniors in Delaney Shah and Meghan Nay earn their degree in May in.Â

The Cardinals were also ranked eighth amongst Division I teams in community service hours for the 2019-20 season.
