
Evans, Jones Named WBCA All-America Regional Finalists

Dana Evans and Jazmine Jones are two of 52 candidates for the WBCA All-America team.
ATLANTA – University of Louisville junior guard Dana Evans and senior guard Jazmine Jones have been named regional finalists for 2020 Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Division I Coaches' All-America.

The selection committee will select the 10-member WBCA NCAA Division I Coaches' All-America team from these 52 candidates. The 2020 WBCA NCAA Division I Coaches' All-America team will be announced Thursday, April 2.

In the past week, Evans has also been named an Associated Press and USBWA All-American.
Â
She was named Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Year after leading the league in 3-point field goals made (90), 3-point field goals made per game (3.0), 3-point field goal percentage (43.1%) and free throw percentage (89.0%).
Evans ranked third in the ACC with 18.0 points per game and scored in double figures in 29 of 30 games played.

Jones was named All-ACC First Team, All-ACC Defensive Team and ACC All-Tournament Team. She was also named to the Wade Trophy Midseason Watch List.

She played in all 32 games this season with 31 starts and ranked second on team with 14.1 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game.

Jones finished her career with 125 wins and 144 games played, both of which rank first all-time in Louisville program history.
