
No. 5 Louisville Hosts No. 17 Florida State on Thursday

The Cardinals and Seminoles tip off at 8 p.m. E.T. on the ACC Network.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Following an exhibition against the USA Women's National Team, No. 5 University of Louisville women's basketball (21-1, 10-0) returns to Atlantic Coast Conference action with a home tilt against No. 17 Florida State (18-4, 7-4) on Thursday night at 8 p.m. ET. The game will broadcast on the ACC Network.

The Cardinals are 10-0 in ACC play for the first time since 2015-16. That season, they opened with wins in their first 10 ACC games and finished 15-1. In 2013-14, UofL opened American Athletic Conference play with wins in its first 11 conference games, which is a program record, and finished 16-2.

Louisville's 13-game winning streak is the fifth longest active streak in the country and the best streak since they won 14 straight to open the 2018-19 season.

UofL has won 14 straight games at the KFC Yum! Center with wins in its first 10 home games this season and wins in their final four a year ago. The longest home winning streak in program history is 17 games when they won their final five home games in 2016-17 and their first 12 in 2017-18. They fell 50-49 to No. 12 Florida State on Jan. 21, 2018 to end the streak.

Dana Evans was named to the Wooden Award Late Season Top 20, which was announced on espnW on Monday night. Her nine 20-plus point games are tied for second in the league. She has scored in double figures in 21 of 22 games.

She is shooting 42.8 percent from beyond the arc, which leads the league and ranks 25th in the NCAA. Overall, she is shooting 43.2 percent from the floor, which ranks 12 in the ACC. She leads the league and ranks third in the country with a 91.9 free throw percentage. Her 4.3 assists per game rank seventh in the ACC and her 1.79 assist-to-turnover ratio ranks sixth. Florida State enters Thursday's contest with an 18-4 record, 7-4 in ACC play. The Seminoles are 7-2 on the road and 4-1 in games against AP Top 25 teams. They started the season with a 13-0 record, but are 5-4 in their last nine games. They come to Louisville after beating Pittsburgh 66-41 on the road.

Florida State ranks third in the ACC in scoring offense, averaging 74.3 points per game. They only allow 59.5 points per game, good enough for fourth in the league. The Seminoles shoot at a high percentage from the field, making 45.6 percent of their shots, placing them second in the ACC.

The Last Meeting (Jan. 24, 2019) - Asia Durr bounced back from her worst game of the season with 29 points, and No. 4 Louisville jumped out to an early lead in a 68-49 win over No. 22 Florida State. Kylee Shook grabbed nine rebounds for Louisville, which had a 37-25 edge on the boards. The 6-foot-4 Shook also had eight points and five blocks. Louisville used an 18-2 run to build a 20-6 advantage after the first quarter. The Cardinals led 32-23 at halftime and by double figures throughout the second half.
