
Meet Rowing's Trainer Meg Lambert

The trainer comes to the Ville as an Indiana graduate
The University of Louisville welcomes Meg Lambert to the staff as an assistant athletic trainer in the fall of 2020. Her primary responsibilities are with the women's rowing program.

Lambert is a 2018 graduate of Ball State University, where she earned a B.S. in Athletic Training. While serving as a student athletic trainer from 2014-2018, she provided medical coverage for the Ball State women's soccer, softball, and basketball teams.

Following her undergraduate degree, she continued her education at Indiana University, where she served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the Indiana women's rowing and field hockey programs. She provided medical care and coverage of all practices and home and away events for both varsity and novice teams as well as acute and emergency care, rehabilitative treatment, and preventative techniques for all athletes. She independently managed the medical clearance process for 70 novice rowers including: tryout medical coverage, coordination of PPE's, scheduling of Echo/EKG, and performing concussion baseline testing. She designed and implemented a preventative rib stress injury program for all varsity and novice rowers.Â
In addition, during her stint as a Hoosier, she provided on-site care at the Big Ten Men's Swimming and Diving Championships and the NCAA Championships as well as staffing rowing, volleyball, football, and hockey camps . She received her M.S. in Kinesiology with a concentration in Athletic Training in the spring of 2020.

Lambert, a native of Martinsville, Ind., holds a Graston Technique MS1 Provider certification and has been a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) since 2018.
