Louisville returns to the Sarasota 2k on Friday to compete with four boats
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville rowing sets its sights on the Sarasota 2k this weekend. The regatta will take place on Friday and Saturday at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Fla.

The Cardinals will crew four boats for the weekend including Varsity 8, the Second Varsity 8, the Varsity 4 and the Second Varsity 4 to compete for the Benderson Cup.
Louisville is one of 19 teams competing for the Cup including No. 14 UCF, No. 15 Dartmouth, No. 18 Miami, No. 20 UNC, Albany, Boston College, Drexel, High Point, Iowa, Jacksonville, Kansas, Kansas State, MSU, UMass, Old Dominion, SMU, Tulsa and West Virginia.
Louisville begins with time trials on Friday with the Second Varsity 4 at 2:10 p.m. ET followed by the Varsity 4 at 3:50 p.m. The Cardinals' Second Varsity 8 races at 4:20 p.m. with the day concluded by the Varsity 8 at 5:10 p.m.
The top two boats from each heat in each race will advance to the finals on Saturday with the next two advancing to the petite finals and the remainder headed to the third level final.
