
No. 7 Louisville Welcomes in Duke on Sunday

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Following a 75-50 win at Clemson on Thursday, No. 7 Louisville women's basketball (13-1) returns to the KFC Yum! Center to play Duke on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET.

Dana Evans scored 27 points at Clemson, just one point shy of her career-high. She knocked down a career-high seven 3-pointers (7-13). In the first half, she had 24 points on 9-12 shooting, 6-8 from deep. Her seven 3-pointers were the most by a UofL player since Asia Durr knocked down an ACC record 11 3-pointers (11-17) en route to tying her own school record with 47 points in the 92-62 win over NC State on senior night.

Louisville made a season-high 12 3-pointers (12-31) in the win at Clemson. It marked the most threes in a game since they knocked down 15 (15-34) in that same game against NC State. Last year's season high for 3-pointers in a game was 16 (16-34) in the 102-80 season opening win at WKU.

Evans leads the ACC with 19.1 points per game. She also leads the league and ranks 11th in the country with 42 made 3-pointers. She is shooting 46.2 percent from beyond the arc, which leads the league and ranks 20th in the country. She has scored in double figures in 13 of 14 games and her five 20-plus point games rank second in the ACC.

Elizabeth Balogun tied her season-high with 15 points at Clemson, shooting 6-10 from the field and 3-6 from 3-point range. She scored the first seven points for the Cards and propelled them to an early 7-2 lead. She also added five blocks, five rebounds and three assists, while committing just one turnover.

Jazmine Jones has 979 career points and is just 21 points shy of becoming Louisville's 30th 1,000 point scorer.

Louisville is 31-3 in ACC games the last three seasons. They are 15-2 in home games and 16-1 in road games during the stretch.

Duke enters Sunday's contest with a 7-6 record, 1-1 in ACC play. They opened the season with a 6-2 record, but are just 1-4 in their last five games. They are 0-2 against teams in the AP Top 10, falling 79-58 at Texas A&M and 89-46 at South Carolina. Their schedule is ranked as the third toughest in the country.
