- UofL won toss and deferred to the second half.
- Louisville defeated Eastern Kentucky 42-0.
- The 42-point win is the largest margin of victory in the series for the Cardinals since a 52-0 win on Oct. 17, 1930. The teams have met 28 times since then.
- UofL now leads the all-time series 19-8-1
- The Cards are now 12-4-1 all-time at home against EKU
- The Cardinals are now 3-3 all-time on September 7.
- The last time the Cards played on Sept. 7 was also against EKU in 2013.
- UofL is now 137-100-6 all-time in the month of September.

- Head coach Scott Satterfield earned his first win as the head coach of the Cardinals.
- Satterfield's career record as a head coach is now 51-25.
- It was the seventh shutout in Scott Satterfield's career and the first for defensive coordinator Bryan Brown in his two seasons as a DC.
- Louisville scored on the opening drive for the second straight week. It's the first time they have scored on opening drives in consecutive games since Wake Forest (10/27/18) and Clemson (11/3/18).
- The Cardinals scored 14 points in the first quarter for the second straight game. It's the first time they've scored 14 first-quarter points in back-to-back games since Syracuse (11/18/17) and Kentucky (11/25/17).
- It was the first shutout by the Cardinals since a 72-0 win over FIU in 2013.
- Louisville's 14-0 lead at the end of the first quarter is its largest since leading Kent State 21-0 on Sept. 23, 2017.
- The last time the Cards held an opponent scoreless through two quarters was on Nov. 5, 2016, when Louisville took a 38-0 halftime lead at Boston College.

- Louisville finished with 542 yards of total offense, its highest total since it gained 562 yards in a 44-17 win at Kentucky on Nov. 25, 2017.
- Louisville's 9.34 yards per play is its 14th highest total since 1960.
- Louisville set a new school record for the largest margin of victory without forcing a turnover, surpassing the 40-3 win at Duke on Sept. 7, 2002.

- The four TD passes for Pass are the most since Lamar Jackson vs Boston College (11/5/2016)
- Javian Hawkins' 66-yard run on the first play of the third quarter is the longest of his career.
- It was the longest run by a freshman running back since L.J. Scott had a 68-yard run vs. Murray State on Sept. 6, 2014.
- Hawkins ran for a career-high 123 yards.
- It was the second consecutive game Hawkins ran for 100 yards.
- He is the first UofL running back with back-to-back 100-yard games since 2016.

- Marshon Ford caught his first career touchdown on the opening drive of the game. He finished with three catches, two of which went for touchdowns.
- Trenell Troutman finished with a career-high six tackles, including one for a loss.
- Yasir Abdullah recorded his first career sack in the first quarter.
- Jared Goldwire recorded his first career sack in the second quarter.
- Quen Head made his first career start at linebacker.
- Ramon Puryear, Aidan Robbins, Jordan Thomas and Hunter Crowe made their collegiate debuts.
