- The Cardinals scored touchdowns on three consecutive possessions for the first time since a win over Syracuse in 2017.

- The Cardinals forced a season-high two turnovers in the game.
- UofL's three stops on WKU fourth down conversion attempts were the most since the Cardinals held Pittsburgh to 0-of-3 in a 45-35 road victory on Oct. 13, 2012.
PLAYER NOTES
- Linebacker Boosie Whitlow made his first UofL start versus Western Kentucky.
- Quarterback Evan Conley became the fourth true freshmen to appear in a game this season. He tossed a 62-yard touchdown pass to Tutu Atwell – the longest scoring pass by a true freshman since a 74-yard scoring throw by Brian Brohm versus Houston in 2004.
- Linebacker Monty Montgomery registered his first career sack in the first quarter.
- Quarterback Malik Cunningham made his fourth career start, and the first since a loss to NC State last season.
- Cunningham became the third UofL quarterback to rush for over 600 career yards (616 now), joining Stefan LeFors (756) and Lamar Jackson (4,132). He had 46 yards on 16 carries today.
- Chatarius Atwell recorded his first three-touchdown game of his career, scoring on a nine-yard score, a 46-yard strike and a 62-yarder. He's the first UofL wide receiver with three touchdown receptions in a single game since James Quick accomplished that feat against Florida State in 2015.
- Atwell finished with four receptions for 141 yards, the second 100-yard receiving game of his career and the first since he and Jaylen Smith each registered 100-yard games against Wake Forest in 2018. Atwell's total is the most yards by a receiver since Jaylen Smith recorded 183 versus North Carolina in 2017.
- Tight end Jordan David made his first appearance after missing the first two games.
- Running back Javian Hawkins scored in the second quarter from 20 yards out for his first career rushing touchdown.
- Graduate transfer Thomas Jackson made his first career catch at Louisville in the second quarter.
- Kicker Blanton Creque moved into sole possession third place in career field goals with a 42-yard field goal – the 45th of his collegiate career.
- Linebacker Rodjay Burns picked up a fumble and returned it 30 yards for a touchdown, the first defensive touchdown of his career and the first in the Scott Satterfield era. It was the first fumble return for a touchdown since Sheldon Rankins returned one for a score versus Boston College in 2015.
- Punter Mason King moved into fifth place on the school's all-time list for punting yards (7,551 now).
