When a student-athlete is participating in unattached outside competition, coaching may not be provided inasmuch as the NCAA has determined that a student-athlete who receives the benefit of coaching is considered to be representing the University. See Bylaw 17.02.11 for more information.
17.02.11 Outside Competition. Outside competition is athletics competition against any other athletics team (including an alumni team) that does not represent the intercollegiate athletics program of the same institution.
