Agents
University of Louisville student-athletes are permitted use an athlete agent solely for purposes of assisting with contracts for compensation. The use of an “athlete agent” for purposes of assisting with contracts for compensation for the student athlete’s name, image and likeness shall conform to KRS 164.6901-.6935 and comply with the Sports Agent Responsibility and Trust Act established in 15 U.S.C. Section 7801, et seq. Any individual involved in assisting with promotional activities for student-athletes should be registered with the University of Louisville Office of Athletics Compliance and the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Outside of assisting with contracts for compensation and in sports other than men’s basketball (when applicable), current student-athletes will become ineligible if they have agreed, orally or in writing, to be represented, now or in the future, by an agent. The individual could also be ruled ineligible if they, or their family or friends, have accepted a benefit from the agent.
All agents aspiring to do business with UofL student-athletes are required to register with the University of Louisville Office of Athletic Compliance, the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Upon receipt of your request, The Office of Athletic Compliance will review your registration with the Commonwealth of Kentucky and provide additional educational information via email.
