- With the loss, Louisville dropped to 4-14 versus Virginia, including a 3-7 mark in Louisville.
- Louisville has dropped eight consecutive games to the Cavaliers.
- After averaging 21.0 points in the first half of the last two games, the Cardinals exploded for 37 first-half points versus Virginia, the most since tallying 38 versus Duke on Feb. 12.
- Louisville's 37 points were its most in a first half against the Cavaliers since it took a 41-30 lead into halftime on Jan. 4, 1989. The 10-point lead was its largest vs. the Cavaliers since the 11-point lead in that contest.
- Louisville held a 37-27 halftime lead, but were outscored 37-15 in the second half – falling to 14-5 when leading at the half.
- Louisville's 10 3-point field goals made in the first half were its most in a half since it made 11 in the first half of a 91-52 win versus Houston on Jan. 16, 2014.
- The Cardinals dropped to 4-6 this season against teams ranked in the top 25 nationally.
- Louisville committed a season-low five turnovers in the loss to Virginia, equaling its lowest total since committing five against the Cavaliers on Feb. 6, 2017.
- The Cardinals shot lower than 40.0 percent from the field in their third consecutive game for the first time this year.
- Louisville attempted a season-high 33 3-points field goals, the most since hoisting up 32 in a loss to Indiana on Dec. 8.
- The Cardinals reached season lows for free throws made (6) and attempted (8).
- UofL limited Virginia to a season-low 2-of-17 shooting from behind the 3-point line, its lowest output since tallying three in a loss to Duke on Jan. 19.
- After shooting 44.0 percent in the first half, the Cardinals connected on just 30.9 percent of their field goal attempts in the second half.
- Louisville connected on 17 field goals, 12 of which came from behind the 3-point line. The Cardinals earned 71 percent of their field goals from long distance. The only other game in program history in which 70 percent or more of the Cardinals' field goals were 3-pointers was a 53-48 loss to Temple on Feb. 12, 1995. In that contest, 12 of Louisville's 16 field goals were 3-pointers.
- The Cardinals, who were outrebounded 39-28 on the glass, dropped to 3-5 in games where the opposition recorded more rebounds.

- Christen Cunningham, who leads the ACC in assists in conference games, recorded six assists in the loss to Virginia. Over the last 12 games, Cunningham has handed out 81 helpers.
- Cunningham's six assists versus the Cavaliers marked the 19th game this season that the graduate transfer has been credited with five or more assists in a game, and was also the 12th time in 15 games of registering five or more assists.
- Cunningham turned the ball over one time in 38:34 of action, marking the 12th time this season that he has committed one or fewer turnovers in a game this season. He has totaled 54 turnovers (2.0 tpg) in 27 games this year
- Jordan Nwora tallied his 26th game scoring in double digits and his 13th consecutive contest in double figures with a team-high17 points versus Virginia. The sophomore tallied his 35th career game scoring in double figures.
- He led the Cardinals in scoring for the 16th time this season.The Buffalo, N.Y., native connected on four or more 3-pointers for the eighth time this year.
- Junior Dwayne Sutton equaled his career high with 11 rebounds versus Virginia, the fifth time the Louisville native has 10 or more rebounds in a game this year. He also totaled 11 on Jan. 9 at Pittsburgh.
- Junior Ryan McMahon equaled his season high with four 3-point field goals made in a game. His four trifectas were the most since a win at Virginia Tech on Feb. 4.
