- Syracuse won the toss and deferred to the second half. Louisville received the kickoff.
- Louisville defeated Syracuse 56-34.
- The Cards are now 11-7 all-time against Syracuse.
- UofL is now 6-2 at home all-time against the Orange.
- The Cardinals are now 5-4 all-time on Nov. 23.
- It's UofL's third straight win on this day.
- UofL is now 58-42-1 all-time on Senior Day.
- Prior to the game Louisville recognized its 26 seniors.
- With the win, Louisville becomes the second team in ACC history to go from 0-8 in league play to 5-3.
- The only other team was Georgia Tech, which went 0-8 in 1994 to 5-3 in 1995.
- Louisville returns to action next Saturday, as it travels to Kentucky.

- It's first time since 1999 with Frank Moreau and Arnold Jackson.
- Louisville drove 77 yards on 10 plays during its opening drive capped off by a 7-yard pass from Cunningham to Ford.
- It's the fourth time this season the Cardinals have scored on their opening drive and the first since Boston College on Oct. 5.
- It was UofL's 17th drive on the season of 75 yards or more.
- The Cards scored 21 points in the first quarter.
- It's the fifth time this season scoring 14 or more points in the first quarter.
- It's the second time this season the Cardinals have scored 21 points in the first quarter.
- Louisville led 21-3 after the first quarter. It was their largest lead at the end of the first quarter since leading Kent State 21-0 on Sept. 23, 2017.
- Cunningham's 90-yard touchdown pass to Atwell was UofL's 11th touchdown of 50 or more yards this season.
- It's the fifth touchdown of 70 or more yards.
- The 90-yard TD pass was the fourth longest in Louisville history. It's the longest since a 92-yard pass from Adam Froman to Scott Long vs. Southern Mississippi, Oct. 10, 2009
- Louisville finished with 608 yards of total offense. It's the second time this season they have gone for 600 or more yards (Boston College).
- The 370 yards rushing are the most since UofL had 411, also against Syracuse on Nov. 18, 2017.
- It's the fourth most rushing yards by Louisville since 1979.
- It is the third time in program history UofL had a 150-yard rusher and 150-yard receiver in the same game.
- The Cardinals have done it twice this season (Boston College).
- The only other time was against Army in 1999.
- Louisville had 10 plays of 20 yards or more, the second most this season behind 12 against Wake Forest.
- UofL averaged 10.0 yards per play for the game. They entered the game averaging 6.5 yards which was 18th nationally.
- The Cardinals tied a season-high with eight third-down conversions.
PLAYER NOTES
- Javian Hawkins rushed for 233 yards, his sixth 100-yard game of the season and his first 200-yard rushing game.
- It's the first 200-yard rushing game by a Cardinal since Lamar Jackson had 226 against Texas A&M on Dec. 30, 2015.
- It's the most rushing yards by a Cardinal since Anthony Allen rushed for 275 against Middle Tennessee on Sept. 6, 2007.
- Hawkins now has 1,278 yards for the season, setting a new UofL freshman record.
- He eclipsed Victor Anderson's freshman mark of 1,047.
- His total ranks ninth all-time in a single season.
- His six 100-yard games are the most by a freshman in program history.
- Hawkins' 233 rushing yards are the seventh most all-time in a game in program history.
- It's the first 200-yard rushing game by a Cardinal since Lamar Jackson had 226 against Texas A&M on Dec. 30, 2015.
- Micale Cunningham threw a touchdown to Marshon Ford in the first quarter. He has now thrown a TD in four straight games.
- Cunningham threw for a career-high five touchdowns.
- It's the most TD passes by a Cardinal since Lamar Jackson threw for five against Marshall on Sept. 24 2016.
- He now has 12 touchdown passes in the last four games.
- Cunningham rushed for his 11th career touchdown in the first quarter, moving him into a tie for second place on UofL's all-time list for rushing touchdowns by a quarterback.
- Cunningham is tied with Benny Russell for the second.
- Tutu Atwell caught a 90-yard TD pass from Cunningham in the second quarter. With the catch he eclipsed 1,000 receiving yards for the season.
- He becomes Louisville's first 1,000-yard receiver since Harry Douglas had 1,159 yards receiving in 2007.
- Atwell's 1,072 yards are eighth all-time in a single season.
- Atwell recorded 152 receiving yards for the game, his sixth 100-yard game this season.
- Six 100-yard receiving games are tied for the fourth most with Harry Douglas (2007), J.R. Russell (2003) and Arnold Jackson (1999).
- It's Atwell's seventh career 100-yard game.
- Jordan Davis recorded his first receiving touchdown of the season on a 28-yard pass from Cunningham.
- The 28-yard catch was his longest reception of the season.
- Hassan Hall had 142 yards on four kick returns, his second most yards this season.
- Yasir Abdullah recovered a muff punt in the first quarter, his second fumble recovered on the season.
- Malik Clark recorded his first career sack in the second quarter.
- Amonte Caban recorded a sack in the second quarter, his first sack of the season.
- Marlon Character recorded a career-high 10 tackles, nine of which were solo.
