
No. 8 Louisville Welcomes in Boise State on Sunday

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville women's basketball closes out a stretch of five straight games at home to open the season when they host Boise State on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. ET.
On Thursday, the Cardinals upended Chattanooga 86-37 to move to 4-0 on the year. The 49-point win marks Louisville's largest margin of victory since they won 107-52 against Tennessee State last season.

Dana Evans (18.3 ppg) and Jazmine Jones (13.3 ppg) have provided quite the one-two punch as they are producing 40 percent of Louisville's scoring output. Evans has scored at least 12 points in every game and twice has led UofL in scoring, while Jones has scored at least eight points in every game and has also led in scoring twice.

Kylee Shook had 12 points and 11 rebounds against Chattanooga for her third straight double-double and the ninth of her career. She was 0-6 in the first half prior to going 5-6 in the second half. She is nearly averaging a double-double on the season with 10.5 points per game and 9.8 rebounds. Her 9.8 rebounds per game rank fifth in the ACC, while her 2.5 blocks per game lead the league.

UofL is seeking its 100th straight win against non-AP Top 25 teams. Their last loss was a 79-66 setback vs. unranked Dayton in the Gulf Coast Showcase in Estero, Fla. on 11/29/15.
ABOUT THE BRONCOS
Boise State is 3-2 after opening the season with two wins. They lost 80-68 to Washington State on Tuesday night. Their lone road contest was an 83-81 win at UAB on Nov. 15.

They have four double figure scorers with senior guard Riley Lupfer (14.0), redshirt junior center Mallory McGwire (13.4), senior guard Braydey Hodgins (11.8) and sophomore guard Jade Loville (10.0).

For the third consecutive season, Boise State was selected as the Mountain West women's basketball preseason favorite, while Hodgins was tabbed preseason player of the year and Lupfer was named to the preseason all-conference team. Hodgins earned 2019 MW Tournament MVP honors last year after leading Boise State to the tournament championship. She led the Broncos in scoring (13.2 ppg), 3-point FG pct. (40.9), 3-pointers made (96) and free-throw pct. (85.5). McGwire was named preseason newcomer of the year after transferring from Oregon.
