
Walz, Jones to Represent Louisville at ACC Tip-Off on Thursday

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville women's basketball will be well-represented at Thursday's 2019 ACC Women's Basketball Tip-off as head coach Jeff Walz and senior guard Jazmine Jones will attend the event at the Westin Charlotte.

Walz will appear live on the ACC Network with Packer & Durham at 9:20 a.m. ET. The pair will also take part in various interviews and media opportunities. Fans can follow along with the festivities by visiting the conference website and searching for #ACCTipoff on social media.

The Cardinals are looking to follow up their terrific 2018-19 campaign, when they produced a second consecutive 30-win season with a 32-4 record and won their second straight ACC regular season title. They entered the NCAA Tournament as a No. 1 seed for the second straight year and advanced to the Elite Eight for the fifth time in program history.
Jones has started all 75 games for the Cardinals the last two seasons. She averaged 7.6 points and 4.6 rebounds a year ago, and as a sophomore was named to the ACC All-Tournament Team and ACC All-Academic Team.
Along with Jones, Louisville returns seniors Yacine Diop, Bionca Dunham and Kylee Shook. They also return junior Dana Evans, the reigning ACC Sixth Player of the Year.

Louisville opens its 2019-20Â campaign with five straight games at the KFC Yum! Center beginning with Western Kentucky on Nov. 5.
