Red Team Prevails In Scrimmage, 42-32

Steven Enoch led all scorers with 21 points and six rebounds
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville men's basketball fans got their first glimpse at the 2019-20 team on Saturday, Oct. 12 at the KFC Yum! Center. Following a 45-minute practice session, the Cardinals kicked off the season with the annual Red-White scrimmage.
The Red team prevailed, defeating the White team 42-32.
Steven Enoch scored a game-high 21 points and had six rebounds to lead the red team. Dwayne Sutton followed closely with 16 points and also recorded six rebounds.
Leading the white team with 21 points and four rebounds was Jordan Nwora, the ACC Preseason Player of the Year. Darius Perry tallied nine points and two rebounds for the white team.
The white team jumped out to a quick 8-3 lead less than two minutes into the game. Sutton's layup on a fast break at the 12:37 mark gave the red team their first lead of the day, which they maintained throughout the remainder of the 20-minute scrimmage.
The red team concluded the game shooting 48 percent from the field and 31 percent from behind the arc. The white team finished shooting 39 percent from the field and 46 percent from the three-point line.
The Cardinals are back in action on Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. as they host Bellarmine in the first exhibition game of the season.
