
Louisville Plays at Duke on Sunday

The Cardinals and Blue Devils will tip off at 2 p.m. ET.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – After downing North Carolina in the ACC opener, University of Louisville women's basketball opens the road portion of its conference schedule at Duke on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. ET.

At 13-0, Louisville is one of four undefeated teams in the country, joined by NC State (14-0), Ohio (11-0), and Utah (12-0).

The Cards are 4-0 in road games this season. Last season, they went a perfect 8-0 in ACC road games for the second time in three years. Overall, they have won 10 straight ACC road games. They wrapped up road play with a 13-1 record in 2017-18, their best road mark in program history.

For the third time this season, at least five players scored in double figures for the Cards against UNC. They also had five in double figures vs. UK and six scored in double figures vs. Miami (Ohio). Seven active players are averaging more than 7.7 points per game and 18.0 minutes per game. Overall, at least 11 players have played in eight of 13 games, and at least nine have scored in seven games.

Kylee Shook has recorded double-doubles in two of three games with 10 points and 11 rebounds vs. UNC and 15 points and 11 rebounds vs. NKU. She has two double-doubles this season and five for her career. She ranks seventh on the team with 7.7 points per game, while shooting 8-18 (.444) from downtown and pulling down 6.1 rebounds, which ranks second. After pulling down 12 rebounds in the first four games, she has 61 in the last nine games.

Jones has started the last 52 games, the longest streak for the Cardinals. Last year, she started all 39 games, joining Myisha Hines-Allen as the only players to do so. She led the team in scoring for the first time this season with 17 points against UNC. It also tied her career-high of 17 vs. Toledo (11/14/17).

In UofL's win over UNC, the Cards built a 19-point lead in the second quarter (40-21) and led by 17 (40-23) at the half. UNC pulled within two on three occasions before UofL eventually won by seven (73-66). Against UK, Louisville led by 18 points (57-39) with 3:26 to go in the third. UofL led by 17 (71-54) with 7:39 to go before Kentucky went on a 7-0 run and pulled within four on two occasions. Louisville went on to win by five (80-75).

ABOUT THE BLUE DEVILS
Duke enters Sunday's matchup with an 8-5 overall record, 0-1 in ACC play. The Blue Devils are a perfect 5-0 at home. In their ACC opener, they held tough with NC State before falling to the undefeated Wolfpack, 63-51.

Redshirt junior Haley Gorecki leads the team in scoring and ranks seventh in the ACC with 16.8 points per game. She ranks third in the ACC with 2.9 steals per game, while adding 6.6 rebounds per game.

Junior Leaonna Odom (13.2), redshirt freshman Mikayla Boykin (10.6) and freshman Miela Goodchild (10.0) join Gorecki as double-digit scorers. Odom leads the Blue Devils with 7.2 rebounds, which ranks 16th in the ACC. Boykin has played in the last five games after returning from a season-ending knee injury a year ago.
