
Durr named 2018 WISH Athlete of the Year

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Louisville Women's Sports Network announced today that University of Louisville senior guard Asia Durr has been named the 2018 Women In Sports Honors (WISH) Athlete of the Year.
Durr was selected because she excels in the classroom, on the court and in the community. She joins University of Louisville student-athletes Kelsi Worrell and Mallory Comerford as recipients of this prestigious honor.
The Douglasville, Ga,-native was named the 2017-18 ACC Player of the Year averaging 18.7 points per game, while knocking down 108 3-point field goals and shooting 41.7 percent from beyond the arc. She is just the second player in program history to be named WBCA First Team All-American, joining Angel McCoughtry (2006-07; 2007-08; 2008-09).
She has 1,743 career points, which ranks seventh in school history, and her 278 made 3-point field goals rank second.
The fourth annual WISH Awards Ceremony will take place at the Mellwood Art and Entertainment Center on Monday, Sept. 17.
WISH is an event where administrators, athletes, coaches, community leaders, educators, and parents gather to celebrate the achievements of Louisville female athletes.
