Women’s Golf in Tie for Eighth at Evans Derby Experience

Lauren Hartlage is tied for 10th in the standings through two rounds.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Lauren Hartlage continued her impressive play on Monday through two rounds of competition, leading the University of Louisville women's golf team at the Evans Derby Experience in Auburn, Ala.
Hartlage shot an even-par 72 at the Auburn University Club and owns a 3-under-par 141 through 36 holes. The sophomore, competing in a field that features 11 of the nation's top-25 golfers, is tied for 10th. She tapped in for birdie five times and currently is tied for the best par-5 average with a 4.38.
Louisville, collectively, climbed one spot in the team standings and is tied for eighth. The Cardinals shot an even-par 288, the fourth-best score in the second round.
Molly Skapik stands in a tie for 23rd, shooting the team's best second-round score. The senior shot a 2-under-par 70, aided by four birdies.
Olivia Cason and Kristin Engle each are tied for 46th, with Cason climbing 19 spots on the leaderboard. The junior shot a 1-under-par 71, while Engle carded a 3-under-par 75.
Both of the Cardinals' individuals Jacqueline Twitty and Margot Bechadergue are putting together solid performances. Twitty is tied for 27th, while Bechadergue sits in a tie for 38th.
Louisville returns to action for the third and final round on Tuesday, paired with Auburn, South Carolina, and Florida, at 9 a.m. ET.
