Hartlage’s Top-10 Showing Paces Women’s Golf at Moon Golf Invitational

Lauren Hartlage shot a 3-over-par 219 to tie for 10th.
MELBOURNE, Fla. – Lauren Hartlage shot a 3-over-par 219 to tie for 10th and led the University of Louisville women's golf team on Tuesday in the final round of the Moon Golf Invitational in Melbourne, Fla.
The sophomore used an eagle and two birdies for her best round at the Duran Golf Club. Hartlage, who shot a 2-under-par 70 in the third round, climbed 11 spots on the leaderboard in the final day of competition. It is her fifth top-10 finish this season.
Collectively, Louisville placed seventh in the 13-team field with a 24-over-par 888. The Cardinals put together their best performance of the tournament in the last round, with a 6-over-par 294. Furman won the team title with a 1-under-par 863.
Olivia Cason finished with the second-best score on the team, tying for 22nd behind a 7-over-par 223. The junior started the tournament with an even-par 72 and bounced back from a difficult second round for a third-round even-par 72. She logged four birdies in the final day of action.
Senior Molly Skapik narrowly missed a top-25 finish after carding an 8-over-par 224. She tied for 26th despite registering 36 pars over the two days.
Kristin Engle concluded the scoring for the Cardinals, shooting a 4-over-par 76 in the third round. The freshman tied for 35th after capping the tournament with an 11-over-par 227.
