Softball Earns National Academic Honors

Louisville earns NFCA National Academic Team honors, 10 players named NFCA Easton Scholar Athletes
The University of Louisville softball team earned National Fastpitch Coaches Association National Academic Team honors for the 2017-18 season. Louisville was one 107 Division I programs recognized after posting a 3.329 team grade point average during academic year.
Additionally, 10 players were named Easton Scholar-Athletes after achieving a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher. The following players represented Louisville on the list: Celene Funke, Jenna Jordan, Sidney Melton, Maddy Newman, Nicole PUfahl, Paige Schindler, Jamie Soles, Alison Szydlowski, Sydney Warinner and Danielle Watson.
The 2018 Cardinals posted a 33-20 overall record reached the quarterfinals of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Championship.
