Cardinals Finish Third at Cardinal Cup

Martin finished tied for sixth.at 3-over.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Mairead Martin's two-under par first round and even-par final round helped lead the University of Louisville women's golf team to a third-place finish at the Cardinal Cup.
"We definitely played better today," said head coach Courtney Trimble. "We had some really solid individual performances, especially from our underclassmen and certainly from Lauren Hartlage. Overall, we just need to continue to improve each and every day."
Martin finished tied for sixth at 3-over after shooting 219 (70-77-72). She finished with 10 birdies and one eagle over the weekend.
Lauren Hartlage finished right behind Martin at four-over (71-76-73-220).
Lauren Thibodeau (73-79-70-222) and Delaney Shah (77-75-71-223) finished 6-over and 7-over, respectively, to round out the contributing team scores. Thibodeau finished tied for 13th while Shah finished tied for 15th.
Olivia Cason finished at 13-over (77-78-74-229) and tied for 27th.
Linda Trockel had the strongest showing of the individual players for Louisville, finishing in 19th place at eight-over (76-77-71-224). Margot Bechadergue finished tied for 31st (80-78-73-231), while Meghan Nay finished tied for 40th (79-80-74-233).
