- The Cardinals are 6-5 all-time versus Boston College, falling to 3-3 on the road.
- Head coach Bobby Petrino drops to 77-32 at Louisville and 119-53 overall in his collegiate career.
- The Cardinals won the toss and elected to receive.
- The Cardinals dropped to 2-5 overall and 0-4 in the ACC – their first 0-4 start since joining the league in 2014.
- In losing to Boston College, the Cardinals dropped their fourth-straight game, a first since losing four consecutive games in 2008.

- The caused turnover was the first touchdown scored off an opponent's turnover this season. Louisville entered the game being outscored 73-3 points off turnovers.
- Louisville had two kicks blocked (a punt and PAT) the first time since Oct. 21, 2011, a 16-14 home win over Rutgers.
Player Notes
- Wide receiver Devante Peete caught at least two passes in the game for the fifth time this season. He finished with a career high 4 receptions for 37 yards.
- Linebacker Dorian Etheridge recovered his third career fumble, which led to Louisville's first touchdown.
- Etheridge posted a season high 11 tackles, the third double-digit game of his career and the first this year.
- Running back Hassan Hall scored his first touchdown of his career on a 3-yard run in the first quarter. He became the 12th different player to score a touchdown this season. He rushed a personal best 13 times for 39 yards and caught a career best three passes for 29 yards.
- Defensive end Amonte Caban recorded his first career sack versus Boston College, the first sack by a Cardinal player since the loss to Virginia on Sept. 22.
- Linebacker C.J. Avery totaled a career best 15 tackles, marking the most since he totaled seven versus Syracuse on Nov. 8, 2017. It was the first time in his career with a game of 10 or more stops. The 15 tackles are the most since Keith Kelsey recorded 15 tackles against Houston in 2015.
- Wide receiver Dez Fitzpatrick recorded four or more receptions for the fourth-straight game, finishing with 4 catches for 50 yards. He's caught 17 for 110 yards and two scores in the last four games
