
No. 3 Women's Basketball Hosts Virginia Tech on Sunday

The Cardinals and Hokies will tip off at 2 p.m. ET.
The Cardinals (17-0, 3-0) are one of four undefeated teams, along with Connecticut, Mississippi State and Tennessee, and their 17 wins are the most in the country.
Senior Myisha Hines-Allen has recorded double-doubles in her last two games, picking up 13 points and 10 rebounds in the 66-60 win against Duke on Thursday. She has six double-doubles on the season and 35 for her career, which leads the ACC and ranks second on Louisville's all-time list.Â
Junior Asia Durr had 22 points, 14 of which came in the first quarter, in the win over Duke. She has scored in double figures in her last nine games and has 13 double-digit scoring games this season, including seven 20-point games. She has seven career 30-point games and 29 career 20-point games. She has made at least three 3-pointers in her last six games and is 24-of-44 from deep during that stretch.
The Cards rank eighth in the country with a 48.7 field goal percentage,10th with a +23.6 scoring margin, 12th with 77.4 free throw percentage and 12th with a +10.5 rebound margin.
ABOUT THE HOKIES
Virginia Tech (12-3, 1-1) got their first ACC win of the year on Thursday with an 89-58 victory against Boston College. They opened conference play with a 68-51 loss to NC State.
This marks their first road contest since winning at Monmouth (84-34) on Dec. 12. They are 3-0 in road games.
The Hokies are led by a trio of juniors in Taylor Emery, Regan Magarity and Chanette Hicks. Emery leads the team in scoring with 15.8 points per game and is shooting 46 percent from beyond the arc. She also pulls down 3.9 rebounds.
Magarity nearly averages a double-double with 15.1 points and 9.5 rebounds, which ranks second in the ACC, while adding 1.7 blocks. She has nine double-doubles on the season, which ranks seventh in the nation and is tied for the league lead. Her 24 career double-doubles rank second to Hines-Allen's 35.
Hicks averages 13.0 points, along with a team-high 6.7 assists, ranks 11th in the NCAA and third in the ACC, and 3.4 steals, ranks 15th in the NCAA and second in the ACC.
The Hokies have a +22.3 scoring margin, which ranks 13th in the country and third in the ACC. They have connected on 122 3-pointers, which ranks second in the league, while limiting opponents to just 27 percent shooting from beyond the arc, which ranks third in ACC.

UofL is 18-17 against Virginia Tech. They have won the last three since joining the ACC. Prior to the three-game winning streak, the Hokies won four straight against the Cards in the 90's. Louisville is 8-7 against Virginia Tech at home, winning the last contest, 56-45, on Jan. 7, 2016.
