
Men's Tennis Hits the Road for a Pair of ACC Matches

Cards face NC State Friday and No. 17 Georgia Tech Sunday
The University of Louisville men's tennis team will hit the road for a pair of ACC matches this weekend. The Cardinals will face North Carolina State Friday at 4 p.m. and No. 17 Georgia Tech Sunday at 2:30 p.m. Â
About Louisville: The Cardinals enter the weekend a 17-4 overall record and a 4-2 mark in the ACC.
• The Cards are No. 40 in the most recent ITA team rankings.
• Christopher Morin-Kougoucheff makes his debut in the ITA singles rankings at No. 114 this week. The sophomore holds down the No. 1 spot in singles and had tallied a 20-10 overall record while going 9-5 in dual matches.
• The duo of senior Sean Donohue and freshman Parker Wynn stands
at No. 50 in the most recent ITA doubles rankings released on April 4. The pair has compiled a 19-4 overall record including a 13-4 tally at No. 1.
• Wynn leads the Cardinals with a 33-9 overall singles record and is 17-3 in dual matches playing mostly at Nos. 2 and 3. He has won eight of his last nine matches. Wynn is currently tied for fifth on Louisville's list for single season victories and needs three more to move into a tied for fourth. Sebastian Stiefelmeyer owns the single season record with 42 set in 2015.
• Sophomore Brandon Lancaster is 26-9 in singles and carries a 15-4 mark in dual matches playing mostly at No. 5.
• Donohue leads the Cards in doubles with a 26-7 overall record.
• Louisville is 16-2 at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center with its only losses of the season coming at the hands of No. 1 Virginia and No. 29 Florida State.
• Head coach Rex Ecarma is in his 27th season at UofL and has compiled a 439-287 overall record.
