Women's Tennis Hits the Road for ACC Swing

Cards head to Clemson on Friday and Georgia Tech on Sunday
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville Cardinals women's tennis team is on the road this weekend, facing the Clemson University Tigers on Friday at 2:30 p.m., and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Sunday at 12 p.m.

Louisville is now 10-2 on the season, which is the best start under Head Coach Mark Beckham, who is in his ninth year at the helm. The Cardinals are 1-1 in ACC play, winning their most recent match against Pittsburgh 6-1. Freshman Tiffany Huber looks to continue her undefeated streak, after winning 6-2, 6-2 on Friday. The doubles team of Olivia Boesing, and Huber got another win this weekend, having won their last three matches. The team is 3-1 overall and is undefeated, at 2-0, in ACC play.

Clemson comes into the weekend with a record of 3-7 on the season, and a conference record of 0-4. This is the fourth meeting in as three years between the Cardinals and the Tigers. Clemson has won all three of the previous meetings, allowing only one point in all three matches. Sophomore, Ayan Broomfield, has the best overall record on the team, posting an 11-10 record, and 1-2 in conference play. The doubles team of Broomfield and Marie Leduc has the best record in doubles play at 9-2.

No. 5, Georgia Tech, is looking to beat Louisville for the third time in as many years. The Yellow Jackets are off to a record of 12-2, and 3-0 in conference matchups. Georgia Tech is on a six-match win streak, and a three-match conference win streak. Georgia Tech has four of its eight players being freshman. Freshman, Kenya Jones, is boasting a record of 18-9 this season, with a 2-1 conference record.
