The uniforms for the men's and women's basketball teams are being worn during the postseason.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – adidas and the University of Louisville on Monday unveiled the Create Yours uniform collection for the 2017 NCAA basketball postseason.
The uniform collection features design elements that honor Louisville's unique identity and school history. The women's team first wore them on court during the ACC Tournament, and the men's team will debut the uniforms on Thursday in the ACC Tournament quarterfinal.
The collection features a re-engineered mesh fabric designed for increased breathability. The jerseys and shorts both feature French terry wipe-zones for further sweat management during the game's biggest moments.
Trim on the bottom side of each men's jerseys proudly states the team's rallying cry, "Louisville First, Cards Forever" to emphasize a team-first mentality. Trim on the inside of the jersey neck lists the team's championship years and the shorts feature a wing print inspired by the Cardinal mascot.
For the first time, both men's and women's teams will don new uniforms for postseason play. The women's jerseys have team themed black trim strategically placed at the bottom of the jersey so the players can look down and see, "Louisville First, Cards Forever" when they need encouragement. The women's shorts also feature a winged Cardinal print.
Players will lace up Louisville themed Dame 3 basketball shoes with feather-patterned midsoles and Cardinals printed in the sockliner.
Cardinal fans can pick up their jersey at adidas.com and campus area retailers beginning this March.
