
Women’s Golf Holds First-Place Lead at Hurricane Invitational

Olivia Cason and Lauren Hartlage are part of a three-way tie for first place.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville women's golf team held on to its first-place lead and remains three shots ahead of the field following the second round of competition on Tuesday at the Hurricane Invitational in Coral Gables, Fla.
The Cardinals shot an even-par 288 and have a combined 2-under-par 574 through two days of competition at the Biltmore Golf Course. Northwestern is second with a 1-over-par 577.
Louisville's Olivia Cason and Lauren Hartlage currently are tied for first on the individual leaderboard. Both have a 3-under-par 141.
Cason, who opened the tournament with a 3-under-par 69 on Monday, shot an even-par 72 on Tuesday. She tallied three birdies on the day and is second in the 86-player field with 27 pars.
Hartlage shot her second-consecutive round below par. The freshman, who shot a 1-under-par 71 in the first round, tallied a 2-under-par 70 in the second. She had four birdies, six for the tournament.
Molly Skapik and Louise Oxner also boast top-20 rankings. Skapik is tied for 13th with 1-over-par 145, while Oxner has carded a 3-over-par 147 and is tied for 17th.
Meghan Nay, who is playing as an individual, is tied for 69th.
The final round of play is scheduled for Wednesday at 8 a.m. ET, with a shotgun start.
