LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Coming off a preseason WNIT title and another win over a top ten team, Louisville women's basketball junior guard Asia Durr has been named espnW Player of the Week.Â
In wins against Southeast Missouri State, Toledo and Michigan over the season's first 10 days, Durr scored a total of 35 points in 59 minutes. In wins at then-No. 5 Ohio State and against No. 10 Oregon, she scored 73 points in 68 minutes.
Through the first five games, she leads the team in scoring with 21.6 points per game and is shooting 50 percent from three-point range. She has knocked down 19Â 3-pointers, which is more than roughly half of Division I teams.Â
With at least one 3-pointer in all five games to start the season, she has extended her streak of consecutive games with a 3-pointer to a school-record 44 games.
After playing five games in 10 days to open the season, Louisville returns to action on Friday, Nov. 24 at 1 p.m. ET when they host Murray State.
