The Cardinals and Orange take the field for a Saturday matchup at 3:30 p.m.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Louisville football closes its home slate as well as the conference portion of its schedule on Saturday, with a league tilt against Syracuse in Papa John's Cardinal Stadium at 3:30 p.m.
The teams are meeting for the 16th time in series history, and Louisville owns a 9-6 advantage. The series dates back to 1985, the first of three-consecutive Syracuse victories.
The Cardinals and Orange have played three times since Louisville joined the ACC in 2014, with Louisville holding a 3-0 advantage. Louisville cruised past Syracuse last year in the Carrier Dome, racing to a 62-28 victory in September.
ESPNU (Mark Neely, Ray Bentley) is broadcasting the game, while Louisville Sports Properties radio coverage on WKRD 790 AM begins at 2 p.m., featuring Paul Rogers, Alex Kupper, and Jody Demling.

8 – Former quarterback Stefan Lefors, who is having his jersey honored on Saturday during the Cardinals' home finale, led Louisville to wins in all EIGHT league games in 2004. It was the Cardinals' first undefeated conference mark (8-0).
7 – With Cole Bentley and Kemari Averett earning the starting nods against Virginia, Louisville now ranks SEVENTH nationally for most true freshmen with at least one start.
6 – With head coach Bobby Petrino leading the program, Louisville has won all SIX meetings against Syracuse.
5 – Senior Reggie Bonnafon returned a punt 28 yards against Virginia, giving him FIVE plays this year that have resulted in at least 25 yards.
4 – Louisville's senior class, which has won 32 games, became bowl eligible for the FOURTH season in a row with the win over Virginia.
3 – Senior linebacker James Hearns set a school record in the victory over Virginia last week, recording THREE forced fumbles.
2 – Louisville ranks SECOND nationally in plays from scrimmage that have resulted in at least 10 yards, accounting for 213 in 10 games.
1 – Quarterback Lamar Jackson is 37 yards away from moving into FIRST on the school's career list for total yards. Chris Redman currently holds the record with 12,129 yards from 1996-99.
