
Asia Durr to Participate in Women’s Basketball National Media Day on Thursday

Durr is one of six players invited to media day on the campus of ESPN.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville women's basketball junior guard Asia Durr is one of six collegiate players selected to participate in the Women's Basketball National Media Day on Thursday, an event hosted by the NCAA and ESPN.
Durr's schedule includes a one-on-one sit-down with ESPN analyst Rebecca Lobo and ESPN sideline reporter Holly Rowe, a session with NCAA and ESPN social media platforms, a one-hour press conference with national media, an appearance on the Around the Rim podcast and an hour session with espnW.
She will be joined by Baylor's Kalani Brown, Oregon's Sabrina Ionescu, Mississippi State's Morgan William, Connecticut's Gabby Williams and South Carolina's A'ja Wilson. There also will be six coaches at the event: Texas' Karen Aston, Connecticut's Geno Auriemma, Oregon's Kelly Graves, Notre Dame's Muffet McGraw, Mississippi State's Vic Schaefer and South Carolina's Dawn Staley.
Louisville women's basketball head coach Jeff Walz participated in the event last year.

Two weeks ago at ACC Media Day, Durr was selected as the 2017-18 Atlantic Coast Conference Preseason Player of the Year, as voted on by the leagues' coaches.
Last season, she became the school's 28th 1,000-point scorer and broke the program's single-season record with 119 3-pointers, while extending her school record for consecutive games with a trey to 39 contests.
She played in 36 games, all starts, averaging 19.2 points, which ranked fourth in school history, 3.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.3 steals, while shooting 42 percent from the floor and 41 percent from 3-pt range.
Louisville opens its 2017-18 campaign on Nov. 10 at home against Southeast Missouri in the first round of the 2017 Preseason Women's National Invitational Tournament.
