
Lacrosse faces Georgetown, Boston and John Hopkins in Fall Play

Koehl, Schmuckler and Wood had two goals and two assists against Georgetown.
SPARKS, Md. – University of Louisville women's lacrosse continued fall play today at Tierney Field, the home of U.S. Lacrosse, with games against Georgetown, Boston and John Hopkins.
In the opener against Georgetown, Elise Koehl, Julia Schmuckler and Julia Wood led the way as they finished with two goals and two assists each. Jill Balog and Caroline Blalock also scored a goal, while Katie Caddigan recorded an assist.
Lexie Ball had a strong game in goal as she saved six of 10 shots.
Against Boston, Cassie New, Balog, Caddigan, Alex McNicholas and Wood all scored goals. Emily Howell finished with three ground balls, while Caroline Blalock had two.
In the finale against John Hopkins, Koehl had three goals on four shots, while Ball finished with five saves on 10 shots. Sarah Blalock and Howell also scored for Louisville.
The Cardinals wrap up fall play next Saturday when they host Ohio State.
