
Twitty Louisville Women’s Golf to Fifth-Place Finish at Fall Kickoff

NORCROSS, Ga. – Sophomore Jacqueline Twitty shot a 5-over-par 149 and paced the University of Louisville women's golf team on Tuesday to a fifth-place finish in the Fall Kickoff, the Cardinals' season-opener, in Norcross, Ga.
Twitty tied for ninth and recorded 27 pars in the 36-hole tournament at Berkeley Hills Country Club that featured seven teams, including event-champion and No. 3 preseason ranked Georgia. Louisville shot a 14-over-par 302 in the opening round and followed with a 15-over-par 303 to close the day.
Senior Louise Oxner and freshman Lauren Hartlage, part of the Cardinals' scoring team, tied for 12th and 20th, respectively. Senior Shannon Gramley rounded out the scorers, tying for 30th.
Oliva Cason highlighted the Louisville Black team, tying for seventh. The sophomore, who had the best finish overall, earned a 4-over-par 148 and tied Twitty for the third-most pars in the field at 27. Freshman Delaney Shah had a solid collegiate debut and tied for 12th behind a team-best five birdies.
Louisville returns to action in a week, when it travels to the Minnesota Invitational from Sept. 12-13 in Minneapolis, Minn.
