Track and Field Earns Team and Individual Academic Recognition

Cardinals Earn U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic Honors
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The University of Louisville track and field women's team as well as multiple individuals earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic honors on Thursday.
The women's team was tabbed a USTFCCCA All-Academic Team for the 12th straight year after recording a 3.31 cumulative grade-point average.
Individually, the women placed seven student-athletes and the men place four student-athletes on their respective men's and women's USTFCCCA All-Academic teams.
Kelsey Cramsey, Raven Grant, Holly Hankenson, Jade Hawkins, Linda Mutter, Dolly Nyemah, and Morgan Zacharias represented the Cardinals among the 910 women from 192 institutions earning USTFCCCA All-Academic honors during the 2015-16 track & field season.
Isaac Bowling, Edwin Kibichiy, Oliver Newport and Bolaji Ogbulu represented the Cardinals among the 570 men from 161 institutions earning USTFCCCA All-Academic honors during the 2015-16 track & field season.
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, a student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and have met either of the following athletic standards: for the indoor season, a student-athlete must have finished the regular season ranked in the top 96 nationally in an individual event or ranked in the national top 48 (collective listing) in a relay event on the official NCAA POP list provided by TFRRS.org; for the outdoor season, a student-athlete must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Championships (including preliminary rounds).
