Cards head to ACC Championships in Cary, N.C. next

The University of Louisville women's tennis team fell 7-0 to No. 7-ranked University of Miami Sunday afternoon in Coral Gables.

The Cards dropped the doubles point when Olivia Boesing and Ola Mally fell 6-2 at No. 3 to UM's Silvia Fuentes and Ana Madcur 6-2 before the point was clinched by Sinead Lohan and Clara Tanielian beat Cardinals Abbie Pahz and Elle Stokes 6-2 at No. 2.

UofL dropped all six singles spots but the Cards did push the Hurricanes into three sets in two singles matches with Elle Stokes being edged 6-e, 4-6, 1-0 (10-7) by Clara Tanielian. Ariana Rodriguez was a handful for UM's No. 6-ranked Stephane Wagner at No. 1 before falling 7-6 (7-4), 6-1.

The match was the final in the regular season and the Cards will head to the ACC Championships next weekend in Cary, N.C.
