Coming into Thursday's game, Louisville is on a 14-game winning streak, tied for the third longest streak in school history (2006-07). Notably, Louisville has scored 20 points or more off opponent turnovers in six-consecutive games, and in their last three games, the Cardinals have forced 20 or more turnovers.
Louisville (17-5, 9-0 ACC) registered its ninth win at home this season after a 78-54 victory over Wake Forest on Sunday. For the second-consecutive game, four Cardinals reached double figures in points. Louisville scored 26 points off 25 Wake Forest turnovers. The Cardinals also scored 26 second-chance points from 23 offensive rebounds.

Sophomore Myisha Hines-Allen and Briahanna Jackson scored 10 points each. Jackson and Cortnee Walton combined for 10 of Louisville's 23 offensive rebounds.
North Carolina (12-11, 2-6) enters Thursday night's game after dropping its sixth-consecutive game, falling 79-48 at NC State. The Tar Heels opened league play with back-to-back wins before the slide.
Neither team shot well from the floor, however, NC State made 11-of-35 (31.4 percent) of its 3-point attempts, while North Carolina connected on just 5-of-26 (19.2 percent) from long range. The Wolfpack also made 17-of-23 (73.9 percent) of their free-throw attempts in comparison to the Tar Heels' 6-of-11 (54.5) effort.
Destinee Walker led North Carolina in scoring with 12 points, and Jamie Cherry had 11. The two combined to go 7-of-27 (25.9 percent) from the field, including a 4-for-18 performance from beyond the arc.
Cherry leads North Carolina in scoring with 14.5 points per game, which is ninth overall in the ACC. She is fifth in the conference in free-throw percentage (80.8 percent). Hillary Summers, North Carolina's leading rebounder, is seventh overall in the conference in rebounds per game (7.5). She is also fourth in the ACC in blocked shots per game (1.6).
Nationally, North Carolina is 16th in total free throws made (327; 14.1 per game), 36th in blocked shots per game (5.0), and 62nd in rebounds per game (41.17).
