The University of Louisville women's tennis team fell 6-1 to No. 18-ranked Virginia Sunday afternoon in Charlottesville.

The Cardinals dropped the doubles point when The No. 23-ranked pair of Danielle Collins and Meghan Kelly beat Ariana Rodriguez and Abbie Pahz 6-1. Elle Stokes and Jessie Paul fell 6-1 at No. 2 to Julia Elbaba and Skylar Morton.

The Cardinals scored when Abbie Pahz defeated Victoria Olivarez 1-6, 7-5, 1-0 at No. 5. UofL was facing nationally ranked singles players in the top four slots. Sena Suswam fell to UVA's No. 3 ranked Danielle Collins 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1. Ariana Rodriguez faced No. 18 ranked Julia Elbaba and bowed out 6-1, 6-1. Elle Stokes gave No. 45 ranked Skylar Morton a battle before falling 6-2, 7-5 at No. 3. Ola Mally fell 6-2, 6-0 to No. 69 ranked Stephanie Nauta. Meghan Kelley defeated Olivia Boesing 6-3, 7-6 at No. 6.

The Cardinals even their record at 6-6 and fall to 0-4 in the ACC. Virginia is now 6-3 and 3-0 in the ACC.

The Cards host NC State at 1 p.m. March before taking a break from ACC action to host Eastern Kentucky March 6 at 2 p.m. at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
