- Louisville is 6-3 all-time versus Boston College after today's win.
- Head coach Bobby Petrino is 3-0 all-time versus Boston College.
- Since joining the ACC, the Cards have won all three meetings — including two at Boston College.
- Today's win was the fourth in a row over the Eagles.

TEAM NOTES
- The Cardinals are 8-1 overall for the first time since the 2013 season and the first time under Bobby Petrino since the 2006 campaign. It's the third 8-1 start at Louisville for Petrino (2016, 2006 and 2004).
- Louisville improved to 6-1 in the ACC for the first time in its third year in the league.
- The Cardinals scored a touchdown on their opening drive for the sixth time in nine games this season.
- Louisville, which has scored 129 first-quarter points this season, tallied 21 or more first-quarter points for the third time this season — tallying 28 versus Charlotte and Syracuse).
- The Cardinals totaled 515 yards of total offense — the eighth time in nine games this season UofL has gained 500 yards. It was the 11th straight game amassing over 400 yards.
- The Cardinals' 52 points marked their sixth game surpassing 50 points this season.
- With one interception versus Boston College, the Cards have recorded an interception in eight straight games.
- Boston College entered the game fourth in the nation in rushing defense, allowing 93.6 yards per game, and seventh in total defense (298.5 per game). The Cardinals had 127 rushing yards and 320 yards of total offense in the first half.
PLAYER NOTES
- Sophomore quarterback Lamar Jackson raced 69 yards on the opening drive — his second rush for a touchdown of over 60 yards. He had a 72-yard scoring run versus Syracuse on Sept. 9. It was his fifth run of over 60 yards in 21 career games.
- Jackson, who has accounted for 45 touchdowns this season, was responsible for five in the first half - the fourth time this season he accomplished such a feat. He had seven touchdowns for the game (3 rush, 4 pass) and has 68 touchdowns in 21 career games, ranking fifth at UofL and tied for 16th in ACC history.
- With three rushing touchdowns, Jackson is tied for third in school history for rushing touchdowns in a season and one short of the ACC record for a quarterback. He has 30 in his career, which is tied for third all-time in school history.
- Jackson became the first UofL quarterback to rush for 1,000 yards in a season and the first player to rush for 1,000 yards in a season since Bilal Powell ran for 1,405 yards in 2010. He has gained 1,183 yards on the ground this season, three short of the ACC record rushing total for a quarterback.
- Jackson rushed for 185 yards — the 11th 100-yard game of his career, which is tied with Frank Moreau for third all-time and the sixth this season, which is tied for fourth. It was Jackson's fourth game this season and sixth of his career with over 150 yards on the ground, both feats tied for second best at UofL in 150 yard rushing games for a season and career.
- Jackson has thrown at least one touchdown pass in 12-straight games. His four TD passes today marked the fourth time this season he has had three or more TD passes and the fifth of his career.
- Entering the game with 18 touchdown passes this season, Jackson has 22 for the season, which is ninth on the school's single-season list and 34 for his career, which ties him for eighth.
- With seven touchdowns today, Jackson extends his school record for touchdowns responsible for to 45 this year and 68 for his career. His touchdowns this season are two short of the ACC record for a single season. The 68 career TDs is tied for 16th in ACC history.
- With 416 yards of total offense today, Jackson has 3,934 yards on the season, which ranks as the fourth-most at UofL for a single season. He is 114 yards short of the school-record total of 4,048 achieved by Teddy Bridgewater in 2013.
- Jackson's 2,141 rushing yards in two seasons is 12th in career rushing at UofL.
- Four of Jackson's first eight completions today went for touchdowns.
- WR Jaylen Smith recorded his first 100-yard game of his career by totaling a career-best six receptions for 123 yards and one touchdown. He has 20 receptions for 472 yards and is tied for the team lead with six touchdown receptions.
- LB James Hearns forced a fumble in the second quarter to give him five this season, which ties him with Calvin Pryor (2012) for the second-most in a season.
- S Chucky Williams picked off his third pass of the season and the sixth of his career in the second quarter.
- K Blanton Creque booted a 26-yard field goal in the second quarter, connecting on his ninth-straight attempt, but later missed a 32-yard field to snap his streak. He has connected on 10-of-12 field goals this season.
- LB Stacy Thomas led the Cardinals today with six tackles, his fifth game this season with six or more stops.
- LB Isaac Steward produced his first sack of the season in the third quarter.
- WR James Quick scored two touchdowns today and is tied for the team lead with six touchdown receptions. His 14 career TDs is the 11th highest all-time for the Cardinals.
