
Louisville Wins Novice Eight at Sunday’s Rivanna Romp

Cardinals conclude fall race schedule with top five varsity eight finish
EARLYSVILLE, Va. - The University of Louisville rowing team earned a first-place finish in the novice eight event at Sunday's Rivanna Romp hosted by the University of Virginia on the Rivanna Reservoir.
The Cardinals' novice eight A crew finished with a time of 14:24.9 to lead the way in a field of nine boats. The host Cavaliers were second at 14:36.6, while Clemson was third at 14:49.0. Louisville's B crew was sixth in the novice eight race with a time of 15:58.3.
Also on Sunday, Louisville finished fifth in a field of 19 crews in the varsity eight race with a time of 13:26.9. The Cardinals were ninth out of a field of 25 boats in the varsity four event closing with a time of 15:24.5.
Up next, the Louisville rowing team will conclude the fall semester in the classroom before embarking on its winter training trip to Miami in December.
