Cardinals Close Fall Race Schedule at Sunday's Rivanna Romp

Racing begins at 10 a.m., ET on the Rivanna Reservoir in Earlysville, Virginia
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville rowing team will complete its fall racing schedule with Sunday's Rivanna Romp hosted by the University of Virginia on the Rivanna Reservoir in Earlysville, Virginia. It will mark the fifth straight season the Cardinals have competed in the event.

Racing is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m., ET on Sunday with the varsity 8+ event and will continue with the varsity 4+ race at 11:30 a.m., and the noivce/freshmen e+ at 11:35. Along with the Cavaliers, the Cardinals will be competing against Penn, Columbia, Clemson and Duke. Louisville will field three varsity eight boats, five varsity four boats, one freshmen eight and one novice eight.
"This is the biggest race for the team this fall and it will give a good indication of our speed moving into winter training," said Louisville head coach Derek Copeland. "We look forward to racing this weekend and getting to see some of our other ACC competitors in action for the first time this year."
