Eight players will represent Louisville in Ohio Valley Regionals this weekend

The University of Louisville men's tennis team returns to action this weekend when the Cardinals travel to Knoxville, Tenn. to compete in the 2016 ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championship Presented by Oracle hosted by the University of Tennessee.

The tournament runs Thursday through Monday. The singles and doubles champions will earn a spot in next month's USTA/ITA National Indoor Championships in New York.

The 128-player singles draw will feature eight UofL players including junior Nicolas Rouanet who is the No. 22 seeded player in the tournament, freshman Parker Wynn, the No. 25 seed and sophomore George Hedley the No. 31 seed. The Cardinals will also be represented by senior Sean Donohue, sophomores Brandon Lancaster and Christopher Morin-Kougoucheff, juniors Ciro Lampasas, Santiago Salazar.

Louisville will field four doubles teams in the 64-team draw with the duo of Donohue and Hedley earning the No. 16 seed.

The tournament will open with doubles on Thursday morning.
