Team Notes:
- Louisville has now won nine straight games after starting the season 3-5, its longest streak since Dec. 3, 2013, to Feb. 4, 2014, when it won 16 consecutive games.
- The Cardinals picked up their third win over an AP top-25 opponent this season after the 65-48 win over No. 18/16 Duke.
- With the win, the Cardinals have won 23 consecutive home games in the month of January dating back to the 2009-10 season.
- Louisville tied the all-time series with Duke at two apiece after the win. It was the first time in the series a game was played in Louisville.
- Louisville's starting lineup of Myisha Hines-Allen, Mariya Moore, Cortnee Walton, Arica Carter, and Briahanna Jackson improved to 9-0.
- Louisville improves to 81-10 all-time in the KFC Yum! Center after the victory over Duke.
- Duke only managed 17 points in the first half, the lowest total the Cardinals have given up in any half this season. It is the lowest since the Cardinals gave up 17 points to Belmont in the first half last season on Nov. 20, 2014.
- Conversely, the 17 points for Duke were the lowest it has had in either half this season.
- Louisville dished out 18 assists on 25 made field goals to extend its streak of double-digit assists to 17 games to start the season.
- Louisville was a force on defense once again, causing Duke to turn the ball over 22 times. It's the 11th game this season forcing 20 or more.
- The 22 turnovers turned into 14 steals, with 11 coming in the first half for the Cardinals. It was their 11th game this season with double digit thefts.
- Louisville faced a size disadvantage going into the game, but continued their dominance on the offensive boards by grabbing 21 offensive rebounds, its second highest total of the season and third game with 20 or more.
- The Cardinals totaled 27 points off turnovers, the ninth time this season it has produced at least 20 points off the change of possession.
Player Notes:
- Freshman Erin DeGrate grabbed nine rebounds which tied a season-high that she set against Dartmouth. She had six on the offensive end.
- Myisha Hines-Allen scored in double-figures for the 15th-consecutive game and tied a career high in assists with five.
- Mariya Moore tallied double-digit points for the 13th time this season. She finished with 15 points, five rebounds and four assists.
- Sophomore Arica Carter grabbed four of the 14 steals for the Cardinals, tying her career high.
- Cortnee Walton pulled in double-digit rebounds for the third time in the last four games, and the sixth time this season. She finished with 12 total, eight on the offensive end.
- With the 12 rebounds against Duke, Walton has surpassed her season high for rebounds in a season. She currently has 126 rebounds on the year and her previous high was 118 during her sophomore campaign.
- Freshman Asia Durr was a standout coming off the bench. She had a game-tying high with 15 points while bringing in three rebounds, two assists and two steals in 28 minutes of action. She scored 10 points in the first half, making it the second time this season she has reached double digits in one half.
