Cardinals take a break from ACC action to host Morehead State on Thursday Night
LOUISVILLE, KY. -  The University of Louisville women's soccer team wrap up their three-game home stand on Thursday night with a non-conference matchup against Morehead State at Dr. Mark and Cindy Lynn Stadium.             Â

Louisville enters the match with an overall record of 4-5-1 and a 1-2-0 record in ACC play after falling to Pittsburgh 1-0 on Sunday afternoon at Lynn Stadium.

For the season, eight Cardinals have scored this season with redshirt-senior Casey Whitfield and sophomore Alison Price leading the way with two goals. Price adds an assist with her two goals for five points, which is second on the team. Senior Rachel Avant adds a goal and two assists for four points. Junior goalkeepers Taylor Bucklin (29 saves) and Paige Brown (14 saves) have both seen time in goal this season with the two combining for a 1.08 goals against average.

Head coach Karen Ferguson-Dayes is in her 16th season with the Cardinals. She has guided Louisville to four NCAA Tournament appearances, including a Sweet 16 appearance in 2011.

Morehead State enters Thursday's matchup with an overall record of 4-6-1 and is coming off a 1-0 overtime win over Belmont on Sunday afternoon.

The Eagles are led by freshman forward Dani Wilson, who has five goals and four assists, compiling a team-high 13 points on the season. Freshman forward Abby Timm adds four goals and an assist for the Eagles. Warren Lipka is in his seventh season as the head women's soccer coach at Morehead State. Lipka has been named OVC Coach of the Year three times during his time with the Eagles. Before coming to Morehead State, Lipka coached at the University of Kentucky.

The Cardinals and Eagles will meet for the 12th time in series history. The Cardinals lead the series 11-1 and are 6-0 against Morehead State at home. Â
