Cards Complete Second Day of Fall Camp

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville football team completed day two of fall camp with a pair of workouts on Friday.
The newcomers worked out in the morning in Papa John's Cardinal Stadium, the vets practice for over two hours on the practice fields of the Howard Schnellenberger Football Complex.
Head coach Bobby Petrino saw his team practice in shorts and helmets for the final time before putting shoulder pads on for the first time this fall. Louisville will conduct its first open practices of the fall at 2:15 p.m. with the veterans, while the newcomers come out at 6:30 p.m.
Defensive end Sheldon Rankins, one of the team leaders, spoke about the competition during the first two days of practice.
"The guys are pushing hard," Rankins said. "We take pride in preparing hard. The guys in the locker room know that we have to go through the right steps to be the best."
Before taking the field for practice on Saturday, the Cardinals will hold their annual Media Day at 9 a.m., with Petrino addressing the media at 9:15 a.m.
