University of Louisville
Sunday's 66 to 53 win over UNI gives the Cardinals a 74-41 record in the NCAA tournament.
The Cardinals have reached the NCAA Sweet Sixteen for the 21st time and a school-record fourth straight.
Head Coach Rick Pitino has a 52-17 record in NCAA tournament play (.753).
Rick Pitino's teams have now reached the Sweet Sixteen in 13 of his 20 previous NCAA Tournament appearances. He has a 13-3 record in his second game of the NCAA Tournament, including a 7-2 mark at Louisville.
Louisville is now 51-9 in the NCAA tournament when the Cardinals are the higher seed. As the No. 4 seed, Louisville has a 18-9 record since the NCAA began seeding teams in 1979.
Louisville now has a 7-1 record in the NCAA Tournament when facing the No. 5 seed.
The Cardinals have now won 47 of their last 62 post-season tournament games over the last 11 years.
Louisville is now 22-3 this season when leading at halftime.
With Terry Rozier's team-high 25 points he now has led the Cardinals in scoring in 17 games and has 31 games in double-figures this season.
With his first basket of the game senior guard Wayne Blackshear became the 67th 1,000 point scorer in Louisville history.
Northern Iowa
The University of Northern Iowa (UNI) Panthers fell to the Louisville Cardinals 66-53 in the Third Round of the NCAA Tournament Sunday.
UNI finished this year as the winningest season in school history. At 31-4, this year's team is tied for fourth most wins by a Missouri Valley Conference team.
Head Coach Ben Jacobson is now 3-3 in his career at the NCAA Tournament. He extended a defensive streak of never allowing 70 points to an opponent at the Big Dance.
UNI extended its 3-point streak at the 17:55 mark of the first half. The Panthers have made at least one 3-pointer in 495 consecutive games.
Louisville's Terry Rozier is just the fifth player to score 20 or more points against UNI this season.
Seth Tuttle recorded his 600th career field goal with 0:26 remaining in the 2nd half. The Sports Illustrated 2nd Team All-American reached double-digit scoring for the 30th time this season.
Tuttle passed Jason Reese (1986-90) for No. 2 on the UNI career free throws made list. After netting 6 free throws today, the Naismith Player of the Year semifinalist brought his career total to 508.
Tuttle has broken the UNI school record for career games started with 136. The Wooden Award Finalist came into today tied for first with Johnny Moran (2008-12).
