Kolby Smith, L.D. Scott and James Burgess reflect on their big bowl games
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Former University of Louisville standouts and current assistant coaches L.D. Scott and Kolby Smith, as well as, linebacker James Burgess sat down with CardsTV to discuss their favorite bowl memories.
Scott and Smith participated in the school's first BCS bowl game when the Cardinals defeated Wake Forest in the 2007 FedEx Orange Bowl. The Cardinals, who ended the year at 12-1, were led by 311 pasing yards by Brian Brohm and an aggressive UofL defense in the 24-13 win over the Demon Deacons.
Burgess, who will be playing in his fourth-straight bowl next week in Nashville, Tenn., was a key component on the Cardinals' 2013 Sugar Bowl win over third-ranked Florida in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
