Men's Golf Finishes Fall Season With Six-Place Finish

Robin Sciot-Siegrist ties for 14th
PRINCEVILLE, Hawaii -- The University of Louisville men's golf team concluded its fall season on Wednesday with a sixth-place finish at the conclusion of the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational on the Hawaiian island of Kauai.Â
Louisvillet shot 8-under for the entire tournament with a score of 285-283-288=856. Alabama won the title by shooting 40-under par, while Wake Forest was second at 35-under par. UAB was third, while Pepperdine was fourth and Cal Poly finished four shots ahead of the Cardinals to finish fifth.
Robin Sciot-Siegrist paced the Cardinals with a typical steady performance. The senior finished 14th overall by shooting a 5-under par (71-69-71) 211. Patrick Frodigh was 36th overall after he was consistent during the week shooting 72-72-73=217.
J.D. Lehman and Simon Zach were tied for 40th overall after they ended at 218. Zach ended the tournament with a final-round score of 69. Hugo Esposito rounded out the top five by shooting 71-74-75=220 to finish in 47th place.
Cameron Young of Wake Forest took the individual title at 15-under par after rounds of 66, 68 and 67. He also won the U.S. Collegiate Championship title last month in Atlanta. It is the third individual championship for a Demon Deacon this fall asWill Zalatoris won the season-opening Rod Myers Invitational at Duke.
The Cardinals will return to action on Feb. 26-28 at the John Hayt Invitational in Jacksonville, Fla.
