SERIES
• Louisville extended its winning streak against Kentucky to five games and evened the all-time series at 14-14.
• UofL holds a 14-7 lead in the modern era of the series, which resumed in 1994. The first seven meetings in the series were from 1912 to 1924.
• The Cardinals improved to 9-8 in Lexington against the Wildcats, including three straight wins at Commonwealth Stadium.
• The five-game winning streak for the Cardinals is the longest for either side in the series since it resumed in 1994.
• Louisville's Bobby Petrino improved to 7-1 all-time against Kentucky, including 6-0 as the head coach of the Cardinals.
TEAM
• Louisville captains for Saturday's regular season finale were seniors James Burgess, Aaron Epps and Sheldon Rankins and juniors Keith Kelsey and Brandon Radcliff.
• Louisville won the pregame coin toss and deferred to the second half. Kentucky received the opening kickoff.
• Saturday marked the second largest deficit overcome in a win ever for the Cardinals, who trailed 21-0 in the first quarter. Louisville's largest comeback win ever came on Sept. 5, 1987 against Tulane when they overcame a 37-14 deficit in the third quarter for a 42-40 victory.
• Saturday's win marked the 99th career collegiate victory for Petrino.
OFFENSE
• The Cardinals finished with a season-high 314 yards rushing, their highest rushing total since gaining 325 yards on the ground against Murray State on Sept. 6, 2014.
• Louisville's 489 yards of total offense on Saturday are the third highest total of the season.
• The 31-point second half for the Cardinals equals their highest scoring half of the season matching the first half against Samford on Sept. 26.
• Freshman quarterback Lamar Jackson earned his fourth career 100-yard rushing performance on Saturday and set a school record for single game rushing yards by a quarterback with 186 yards on 17 carries. Jackson broke his previous record of 184 yards rushing against Samford earlier this season.
• Jackson set a school record for single season total offense by a freshman closing the regular season with 2,347 yards. Jackson broke the previous record of 2,195 yards by Teddy Bridgewater in 2011.
• With two touchdowns on Saturday, Jackson set a school record for single season rushing touchdowns by a quarterback with nine, one better than the eight for Benny Russell in 1965.
• Jackson moved into second place in career rushing yards by a quarterback with 734 and trails only Stefan LeFors, who had 756 yards rushing from 2002-04.
• Jackson is the first FBS quarterback this season to record multiple games with 150 rushing yards.
• Redshirt junior Brandon Radcliff scored two touchdowns on Saturday to move into a tie for 10th place in career rushing touchdowns at Louisville with 20.
DEFENSE
• After allowing 21 points and 148 yards of total offense in the first quarter on Saturday, Louisville improved drastically in the final 45 minutes allowing just three points and 143 total yards in the final three quarters.
• The Cardinals limited Kentucky to 92 yards rushing on Saturday, the sixth time this season they have held an opponent to less than 100 yards on the ground.
• The Cardinals were credited with at least one sack for the 11th consecutive game this season.
• Junior linebacker Devonte' Fields recorded a season-high 2.5 sacks on Saturday increasing his total to 7.5 sacks in the last six games. Fields has 8.0 sacks overall this season.
• Fields also finished with a season-high 4.5 tackles for loss and has a team-leading 19.5 TFL's this season.
• Senior safety Jermaine Reve finished with a career-best seven tackles while also hauling in his first career interception late in the fourth quarter to thwart any comeback attempt for the Wildcats.
SPECIAL TEAMS
• Kicker John Wallace kicked one field goal to extend his school record for career field goals made to 66. Wallace has connected on eight-straight field goal attempts.
