SERIES
• Louisville evened the all-time series against Virginia at 2-2, while moving to 2-0 at home against the Cavaliers.
TEAM
• Louisville captains for Saturday's ACC home finale were seniors James Burgess, Aaron Epps and Sheldon Rankins and juniors Keith Kelsey and Brandon Radcliff.
• Louisville won the pregame coin toss and deferred to the second half. Virginia elected to receive the opening kickoff, while the Cardinals chose to defend the south goal.
• Saturday's announced attendance at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium was 51,233.
• Louisville head coach Bobby Petrino improved to 31-4 all-time at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.
• With Saturday's win, Louisville is bowl eligible for the sixth consecutive season and the 15th time in the last 18 years.
• Prior to Saturday's game, Louisville honored its 13 seniors – Corvin Lamb, James Burgess, Jermaine Reve, Darius Skinner, George Clements, Joshua Appleby, John Wallace, Aaron Ahner, Kelby Johnson, Aaron Epps, Sheldon Rankins, Pio Vatuvei and Jon Brown.
• Petrino remained perfect on Senior Day as a head coach improving to 11-0 overall, including a 6-0 mark with the Cardinals.
• Louisville improved to 10-5 in two seasons in the ACC heading into next week's 2015 conference finale at Pittsburgh.
OFFENSE
• The 266 yards rushing on Saturday for the Cardinals was their second highest total of the season behind only the 288 yards against Samford on Sept. 26.
• Louisville has rushed for 200 yards or more in five games this season, including back-to-back contests for the second time.
• The Cardinals equaled a season-high with three rushing touchdowns on Saturday matching the total against Auburn in the season-opener.
• Louisville's 22 passing attempts on Saturday were a season-low surpassing the previous low of 26 against Boston College on Oct. 24 and the fewest since attempting 21 passes at Notre Dame on Nov. 22, 2014.
• Junior running back Brandon Radcliff led the rushing attack tallying a career-high 146 yards on 21 carries and equaled a career-best with two touchdowns.
• Radcliff has registered back-to-back 100-yard rushing performances (117 yards last week) for the second time in his career. Last season, he ran for 129 yards against Wake Forest on Sept. 27 and finished with 110 yards against Syracuse on Oct. 3.
• Freshman wide receiver Jaylen Smith scored his first collegiate touchdown with the 20-yard reception from Kyle Bolin to push Louisville ahead 10-7 in the second quarter.
• With his 45-yard rush in the second quarter, Lamar Jackson moved into third place on Louisville's all-time rushing list for yards by a quarterback with 529 yards.
• Junior tight end Cole Hikutini caught his third touchdown pass in the last two weeks and finished with career highs in receiving yards (59) and catches (four).
DEFENSE
• Louisville limited Virginia to 94 yards rushing on Saturday, the fifth time this season the Cardinals have held an opponent to less than 100 yards on the ground.
• Senior Keith Kelsey led the Cardinals with 14 tackles on Saturday, one stop shy of his career-high 15 tackles against Houston on Sept. 12.
• Saturday marked the fourth time this season and the sixth time in the last two years Kelsey has finished with 10 or more tackles in a single game.
• Senior defensive end Sheldon Rankins moved into 10th place in career sacks at Louisville with 17.5 after his third down sack in the third quarter on Saturday. He has 5.5 sacks this season.
SPECIAL TEAMS
• Senior kicker John Wallace connected on his only field goal attempt of the game – 20-yarder – increasing his career field goals record total to 63.
